Who Should I Talk To On Social Media?
You know, Social Media can look just like an ocean, full of fish just waiting for you to cast your net so they can swim in. But think about it for a moment….do you really want to catch EVERYTHING that manages to get caught up in your net? The plankton, the seaweed, the tiny fish, the empty shells from the seabed? Of course not!
So you need
to look again at who you want to swim into your net. The secret here is before
you start posting, you must build your client avatar. You must work out the
demographic of your ideal client.
This not only
includes their age, sex, language, occupation and income level but you also
need to look at your product and what problems it can solve for these people.
It’s a true
combo so these are your steps:-
1. 1. Write down the problems your product
can solve
2. 2. Work out who has these problems
3. 3. Build your avatar from that point.
I
promise you will then find creating posts much easier because you know exactly
who you are talking to and which Social Media you should use to best reach your
audience.
It WILL take
some time to build up your audience but if you post consistently and give lots
of free value, you will start to grow your legion of raving fans.
But, I’ll
leave you with a word of caution. BE YOURSELF! Let your personality shine
through in your posts, your Lives and your comments. Your ultimate aim is to
allow people to get to know the real you – you are your brand! People will only
show interest in your product if they know you, like, you and trust you.
Your job this
week is to start building your brand!
